Vice President, Head of Travel, Asia Pacific & Greater China at SAP Concur

Carl Jones is the VP Head of Travel for SAP Concur across Asia Pacific and Greater China. In this role, Carl oversees the travel strategy, management, innovation and partnerships for SAP Concur’s travel portfolio suite including Concur Travel, Request, Locate, TripLink, and TripIt. Responsible for the commercial development of SAP Concur’s travel business within the region, he will architect, build and evolve a travel management and ecosystem strategy that help customers navigate complexities and optimize travel.

Carl is an industry veteran with extensive experience throughout Asia Pacific, having held regional leadership roles in countries including China, Singapore and Thailand. Carl brings with him over 10 years of experience in Asia within the travel industry. Prior to SAP Concur, Carl was the Vice President, Global Client Management, Global Business Consulting and General Manager for Thailand with American Express, Global Business Travel.  Carl also worked at Carlson Wagonlit Travel leading their Solution Group team for Asia Pacific.

Carl holds a Bachelor of Physics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Manchester, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
