There have been many fine words about using this crisis as an opportunity, and building back better, but little detail on how to put this into action. What does “better” actually look like? And what should Asian destinations and businesses be doing now, to come back stronger, smarter and greener? This session will explore what “Better” means in practice, through the lens of the Future of Tourism Coalition. Seven global tourism NGOs formed the Coalition and published 13 “Guiding Principles”. To date, nearly 200 companies, destinations and other organisations have signed up to this vision, including Mekong Tourism who will describe how they are forging a new path for tourism in the subregion.
